Positions and Qualifications


Project Directors: (full-time) Masters of Education or related field and fluent in Spanish is preferred /pay-rate is competitive

Achieving academic excellence requires that the Project Director work collaboratively with Senior Management to direct and nurture all SES stakeholders to include Local Education Agency’s, District Staff, Site Coordinators, Parents and Educational Specialist. The Project Director will also define the program objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum implementation, emergency procedures and program operations. Completing reports and records accurately in a timely fashion as requested by the Local Education Agency is critical to this position.


Site-Coordinators: (Part-time) Bachelors of Education or related field and  pay-rate is competitive.

The Site Coordinator is a site-based leadership position in the City of Richmond. This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing our community-based, after-school tutoring program with strict regard to the specifications outlined within the “No Child Left Behind” non-regulatory guidelines. The Site Coordinator serves as an educational leader and administrator and is responsible for ensuring that their particular site operates a safe and supervised after-school program, which is conducive to each child’s academic achievement.

Achieving academic excellence requires that the SES Coordinator is responsible for implementing lessons for groups of 5 students with another instructor, providing supervision/support to a team of tutors, communicating with site partners, and conducting student/family outreach and retention.


Qualified Tutors: (part-time) Bachelors of Education or related field and knowledgeable in subject tutored.  Pay rate is $11.00 - $12.00 per hour.

The SES Instructor position is a part-time position teaching English Language Arts and Reading and/or Math to an assigned group of students at one time. To ensure that academic achievement is accomplished our programs are teacher-directed and students are taught in groups of five or less. Small group tutoring sessions give our highly-trained tutoring staff the freedom to identify learning disparities and assess the individual needs of each student. They are able to tailor instruction to ensure and promote academic achievement and be flexible by teaching students in a multi-disciplinary fashion. Our instructors must demonstrate subject matter competency in each of the academic subjects in which they teach.
